Our
rabbi is R' Laura Duhan
Kaplan. The rabbi is available for appointments at Or Shalom on
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Please phone her at 604-872-1614 or email her at reblaura@telus.net Rabbi Duhan Kaplan will be away for summer sabbatical beginning June 25. She will be back in the
office on August 10. In case of rabbinic emergency, please call the Or Shalom
office. Reb Laura writes a weekly "Taste of Torah". These short pieces, drawn
from her thoughts or the thoughts of her teachers, are circulated on our
email list and printed in our weekly bulletin. They are collected here for
you to read and think about. Reb Laura has compiled her
articles and lectures on a wide range of topics in a website of her
writings. Here it is. |
Or Shalom is
pleased to announce that Asaf Pomerantz
will begin working as Or Shalom's Program Director
beginning August 10. Asaf will be working in the
areas of family programming and publicity. We look forward to welcoming Asaf in August.
Reb Laura will
offer an academic-experiential course "Kabbalah:
A Jewish Theology" in August.
