joined Or Shalom as our new Program Director. From Jacob:
Dear Or Shalom Community,
My name is Jacob Haas and
I am very excited to be the new program manager for your shul. I was born in
Portland, Oregon - I have lived in England, Idaho, New York - and I moved to
Vancouver in 2007.
Professionally, I hold
bachelors degrees in political economy and education, and have worked at Camp
Solomon Schechter and the BI. Currently I live at Moishe House creating
programs for young adults and teach at TAG Jewish teen program.
In my personal life I
enjoy running, rock climbing, camping and hiking, and pretty much anything else
in the outdoors. I am also
interested in politics, Judaism, and reading. If you have any great program
ideas or would like my help with current programs, please get in touch with me
(programs@orshalom.ca).
Shalom,
Jacob
