New Ways for Young Families to Connect

At our Shabbat Sheli and Little Lights Parent Meeting this spring we had a fruitful conversation about what is working well, what could be better, and what could be added to Or Shalom’s young family programming. One of the major takeaways was the desire to build a chavurah, a fellowship of families who will learn and grow together and build a close-knit community within the folds of the greater Or Shalom community. We want to nurture this and are here to help young families connect to resources that can assist them in hosting Shabbat dinners in their homes, coordinating childminding so they can attend adult programs at Or Shalom, connect to elders in the community, and more.

Connect and Grow

Based on feedback from the meeting, parents wanted ways to communicate regularly and get to know one another as well as a way to schedule regular gatherings outside of Shabbat Sheli and Little Lights, including in homes, and in outdoor spaces in Metro Vancouver.
