Celebrate the first night of Chanukah at Or Shalom with singing, latkes, and a group candle lighting. It all happens on Sunday, Dec. 22!
Kids and families, join us starting at 4:30 p.m. for choir practice led by Cantor Shira Stanford-Asiyo. Then the whole community is invited to a latke supper – we’ll provide the latkes, you bring some vegetarian side dishes to fill out the meal. After that, it’s performance time! If you have one, bring your chanukiah and candles so that we can make the sanctuary glow with light as a reminder that, together, we can make our world shine for everyone. Be sure to RSVP as this event will be popular.
4:30 p.m. Pop-up choir practice for children and youth ages 5 and up, their parents, and any interested adults. Activities for ages three and four accompanied by parents.
5:30 p.m. Potato latke supper for whole community. Please bring vegetarian side dishes (hot dishes, salads) and/or desserts!
6:30 p.m. Choir performance and communal candle lighting. Bring your own menorah and candles.
