Spiritual Direction Group

"Spiritual Direction" is a name for the process of finding your spiritual direction, with the support of a spiritual director who is a witness and a guide. As you find your spiritual direction, you grow closer to God and to your own soul. You give voice to spiritual stories and yearnings that are inside you, and allow them to become more integrated into your life. For more information about spiritual direction, go to www.sdiworld.org and follow the links to the definitions.

Rabbi Laura Duhan Kaplan will facilitate a spiritual direction group at Or Shalom. Members of the group will learn about a variety of spiritual practices, and will be invited to share their emerging spiritual questions and experiences with one another. The group is appropriate for all those who feel that the primary questions and emerging directions in their life right now are spiritual ones.

The group will meet on seven Sundays, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Or Shalom: October 25, November 22, December 20, January 24, March 7, April 11 and May 9.

If you are interested, please send an email to reblaura@telus.net by October 1 2009. The size of the group is limited to six participants. To participate in this particular group, you must be a member of Or Shalom. If more than six people express interest, several will be put on a waiting list for a future group.
