Family-friendly sukkah decorating at Or Shalom
In preparation for the festive week of Sukkot, Or Shalom warmly invites you and your family to join Rabbi Hannah, Matthew Gindin and friends in setting the tone for 5782 with an afternoon of sukkah decorating. Get creative with the kids as you whip up your own décor and adorn the community sukkah with your household’s unique creations. We’ll provide the supplies, some ideas to get you started, as well as a seasonally inspired bite to eat so you and your loved ones can fulfil the mitzvah of noshing in the sukkah!
Register below. Please ensure you indicate the total number of people you are registering so we can track the number of attendees.
Who? Or Shalom community and students (Adult crafters welcome, just know that there will be kids underfoot!)
Where? Or Shalom’s social hall and back yard (We do expect rain, but we will make decorations rain or shine. Food service is out of doors only, so may be curtailed if it does rain.)
What will we eat? Or Shalom will prepare and provide homemade vegetable soup served in individual compostable containers, with compostable cutlery, along with challah for dipping (gluten-free option available). To stay extra COVID safe, a designated server will deliver soup and challah rolls to each family unit.
What do I bring? Your kids, a picnic blanket if you wish, and a desire to get your craft on!
