Start the new year with the Or Shalom youth education community! Our teacher team will lead youth on an exploration of Rosh Hashanah, creating a space where we can explore the themes of renewal, reflection and returning. We will join the service for the unrolling of the torah, linking our explorations back to our tradition. And awaken to the call of the shofar!

Youth Programming | Ages 6+
Join the Or Shalom Youth Education community as we explore the themes of renewal, reflection, and return through music, learning, creativity, and community. Youth will participate in age-based cohorts and gather with the wider community for the shofar, Torah unrolling, and closing circle.

Tashlich & Community Shofar Blowing

Join us for a community Tashlich as we release the past year by casting leaves into the ocean. Stay after for sweet New Year treats—including honey cruller donuts, apples or a gluten-free cookie! All are welcome to this meaningful and family-friendly ritual.

6–6:30pm – Kol Nidre service (for children who are able to participate quietly during this opening service)
6:30pm – Children and their families are invited to a 30-minute interactive Yom Kippur service, offering an engaging introduction to the themes and spirit of the day.

We can’t wait to celebrate the High Holidays with your family. Please register in advance for all childcare and youth programming to help us prepare a safe and welcoming experience for everyone.
Families with children under 6 are welcome to participate in childcare activities with a parent or caregiver present. During age-based Youth cohort programming, families with younger children are also welcome to relax and connect in the Café Lounge.
