Bright Lights

Matthew Gindin will again be teaching this program, which will include text study, discussion, art, crafts, and play. In the coming year, the curriculum will focus on learning the stories of our ancestors in the Tanakh, beginning Hebrew Alphabet studies, and continued learning of mussar (Jewish values).

Children ages 6-9 are invited to journey with Or Shalom through a story-centred curriculum that brings dynamic spiritual content to children through innovative, whole-child programming. Classes will combine accessible text study, the learning of middot (ethical character traits), fun activities, and the exploration of Judaism’s spiritual toolbox for everyday life.

This twice-monthly program is taught by Matthew Gindin and takes place on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month (some exceptions).

Class will be in person at Or Shalom if safety can be assured in accordance with the guidelines of provincial health authorities and Or Shalom’s Covid Committee. Otherwise classes will be online.

Time: 4-5:30 p.m. Snack first; class officially begins at 4:30 p.m.
Location: Or Shalom, 710 E 10 Ave.
Total Program Cost for Members of Or Shalom: $255
Total Program Cost for Non-Members: $425
