Three Doors to Jewish Meditation
An innovative online retreat taught by Rabbi Hannah Dresner and meditation teacher Matthew Gindin. Rabbi Hannah Dresner is the spiritual leader of Or Shalom and has training in both contemplative use of niggun practice and in meditation for the transformation of the heart. Matthew Gindin, Or Shalom’s master teacher, has taught meditation in the Jewish community and beyond since 2004.
Together we explore three ways into Jewish meditation: focused contemplation (hitbonenut), transformation of the heart (mussar), and sacred melody (niggun).
This two-day retreat is offered twice a year, in spring and fall. Check back soon for details on our spring 2021 meditation retreat.
Our Fall 2020 retreat, Three Doors to Jewish Meditation: Building Resilience, took place on November 21 and 22.
Our two-day Spring 2020 retreat, Three Doors to Jewish Meditation: Deepening Our Practice, took place in May.
