Our newest Zusia class is nothing short of enchanting. So come join Matthew Gindin in a 6-week exploration of magic in Jewish thought, practice, and history. We’ll sojourn among 5th-century Merkavah mystics, medieval “practical Kabbalists”, and Jewish esotericists, and see the influence of the Kabbalah and Jewish magic on European and global occult thought and practice. Finally we’ll look at 20th century Jewish magical entertainment and the renewal of Jewish magical practices in Jewish shamanism, witchcraft, and priestess movements. Each class will include a guided exercise in the kosher magic of self-transformation.
