SAVE THE DATE for Faiths 4 Climate Justice Action!

As part of a multi-faith global initiative, Rabbi Hannah Dresner, the Or Shalom Board and the Tikkun Olam Co-ordinating Committee (TOCC) are inviting all community members to participate in a faith-based community action!

When and Where?
Sunday, Oct. 17, 2-4 p.m.
Creekside Park, 455 Quebec Street (next to Science World)
*Please note: location is subject to change*

What?
Two weeks before the UN climate negotiations in Glasgow, multi-religious organizations across the world are standing together to apply moral and spiritual pressure on political and other influential leaders.

In community with VancouverGreenfaith, the local expression of Faiths 4 Climate Justice, the TOCC will be gathering in Jewish religious garb and with banners along with other local spiritual communities to demand that world leaders take immediate and necessary action to address the climate crisis.

We are proud to lead this action in the name of the Or Shalom Spiritual Community in demonstration of our shared values of Tikkun Olam.

Why?
In the face of the climate emergency, an existential threat now facing our planet and every living thing on it, we must act as a collective in concert with all of humanity.

Please note that COVID-19 protocols will be followed at all gatherings.
