In early 2021, Or Shalom joined the Hadar Ensemble’s Rising Song Circle project, where synagogues round North America created song circles to learn nigunnim.
To join the Or Shalom Rising Song Circle, you need to be able to do two things:
- Join the Hadar Rising Song Circle (monthly charge of US$12) [confidential financial assistance available through Rabbi Hannah]
- Send an email to risingsongcircle@orshalom.ca indicating your interest
Our approach is to have members of the circle take turns teaching a niggun or prayer each time we meet, roughly every two week. You can see the ones we have done here, and sign up if you want to lead a class.
